Strategos is a strategy simulator of historical battles, inspired by tabletop wargames. It offers players more than just commanding armies; it recreates the logic of ancient wars, where discipline, formation, fatigue, and well-timed orders determined the outcome.
The art of army management
The game simulates real-life battlefield processes: loss of control, falling morale, spontaneous attacks, and unsuccessful maneuvers. Units do not operate perfectly, but react to the situation, enemy pressure, and commanders' orders. This turns every clash into a tactical challenge, where a misplaced position can collapse the entire front.
The advanced control system forces players to consider the distance to generals, the speed of command transmission, and commanders' participation in battle. A vast array of factions spans the Mediterranean and adjacent regions, including Rome, Carthage, the Achaemenids, the Diadochi, and the tribes of Europe. Strategos provides tools for both recreating history and creating alternative scenarios.
