Shikhondo: Blue Pieta is the kind of shooter where you think, "Okay, this seems okay," but a minute later you're sitting there, gripping your keyboard because there's barely any screen space left. It's beautiful here right up until the meat starts
The backgrounds and locations are incredibly vibrant: a huge city, metro stations, amusement rides, lights, and signs. Then, hundreds of projectiles start flying over it all, and the game dramatically changes the mood. The local yokai are especially effective—they don't look like generic "apparent enemies," but like genuinely strange creatures that have emerged into the modern world at the wrong time.
