Stonemachia is a dark action adventure where the familiar logic of chess is transformed into a survival system. You start as a simple piece, but quickly realize you can't progress without shapeshifting. The world around you is hostile and looks as if it were carved from stone and then breathed into life.
Every encounter requires a choice
Combat isn't based on the speed of your input, but on which form you use at the right moment. Switching between them opens up different possibilities: sometimes it's crucial to withstand a blow, sometimes it's necessary to quickly close the distance. Enemies exert pressure with their behavior, and you have to find a way to deal with them rather than simply charge head-on.
