Lobotomy is an atmospheric horror game with a focus on exploration and environmental storytelling. Following a tip from a colleague, journalist James heads to an abandoned clinic to uncover the truth about the medical experiments conducted there. However, instead of another journalistic story, he finds himself in a place filled with disturbing secrets, dangers, and traces of events best left undisturbed.
A nightmare among abandoned chambers
The hospital preserves its history in every room. Operating rooms, old security systems, archives, and forgotten wards allow us to gradually reconstruct details of the past. The player must interact with various devices, unlock new areas of the complex, and solve mechanical puzzles to reach the most restricted areas of the facility.
The visual style is inspired by the aesthetics of found footage and wearable camera footage. This approach heightens the sense of presence and makes the experience particularly tense. Limited visibility, image distortion, and a constant sense of uncertainty transform a routine exploration into an unsettling journey through a place that should have long since vanished, along with its secrets.
