The Scarlet Harvest is a dark slasher-horror that begins almost innocently: friends, music, beer, Halloween, and an old farm somewhere far from normal roads. The air smells of autumn, forest, and damp earth, cornfields rustle in the wind, and abandoned buildings look like the perfect setting for silly stories around a campfire. But it quickly becomes clear that one of those stories is already circulating somewhere nearby.
The forest hears more than it should
You can wander among the guests, eavesdrop on conversations, survey the farm, and catch that uneasy feeling, as if the holiday is taking place on foreign soil. When danger finally emerges from the darkness, all ease vanishes. Friends scatter, familiar places cease to be safe, and every sound behind you could be your final warning.
The night forces you to rush between the gas station, barns, fields, and outbuildings, where death could await around every corner. There's no sense of a heroic battle with a monster here. There are muddy boots, ragged breath, blood, fear, and the desire to find at least some way out. If you're lucky, you'll hold out a little longer. If not, the farm will have a new scary story for next Halloween.
