Escape: Dead Island is a third-person action shooter with a touch of horror. This completely new installment connects the first and second installments of the acclaimed game, yet is completely different. It features completely different gameplay, and even plays from a third-person perspective rather than a first-person one.
Man vs. Zombie Apocalypse
The story takes place on Narapela Island, and the main character is Cliff Calo. He's determined to find out what really happened on Banoi Island and who's to blame, no matter the cost. This means you'll join him in a real-life investigation of this extremely dangerous case.
In this installment, the developers no longer strive for realistic graphics. Instead, the environments and characters are all hand-drawn, somewhat reminiscent of comic book style. Furthermore, you can only play as one character.
Gameplay Features
The game simply lacks any crafting, nor does the character possess any supernatural abilities. He has no resistance to the zombie virus, as in previous games, no extraordinary skills, no special knowledge. He's just an ordinary man who can only use a few weapons. He lurks in the shadows rather than acts openly.

You can decide for yourself whether to engage in combat or stealth. Stealth is the most suitable option, but combat is sometimes necessary. Therefore, while the game takes place in the same setting, it's actually a completely different story. Your mission is to travel to the island, discover the cause of the tragedy, and, most importantly, return alive.
