Backseat is an atmospheric psychological horror investigation game in which the ordinary work of a taxi driver gradually turns into a fight for survival. Over the course of the night, you pick up one client after another, but not every person in the backseat is simply looking for a ride. Some are hiding crimes, others may be connected to dangerous events, and still others can break loose at any moment. You'll have to read people, investigate suspicions, and search for clues that will help you understand what's happening around you.
Secrets of the Passengers
Each encounter begins with a routine ride, but gradually inconsistencies and disturbing details emerge in the passenger's words. Take notes, gather information about each person, and use conversations to uncover their current situation. It's not just what the other person says that matters, but also how they respond to your questions. Overly persistent questioning can provoke aggression, so sometimes you'll have to retreat and continue your investigation in a different way. The information you gather helps you uncover clients' secrets and make decisions that directly impact further developments.
Outside the taxi, the investigation continues with the help of a computer. Search for people and relevant data in accessible sources, examine hidden information, and find answers to questions that can't be resolved in a single conversation. At some point, this knowledge may be necessary to save your own life, for example, when searching for a way to defuse a bomb under a car. Meanwhile, complete BK26 assignments, pass on notes, and follow the trail that should lead you to your wife. The night will become increasingly dangerous, and the line between ordinary work and a deadly investigation will gradually blur. You will have to decide for yourself whether to obey orders, find another way, or take a risk for the only person you want to bring back.
