Scythian and the Mystery of the Zone
Scythian is an ordinary stalker whose hut on the outskirts of the Zone is destroyed by a mysterious anomalous emission. Searching for answers, he is forced to delve into the very heart of the territory, where thousands of seekers of easy money and dangerous secrets have flocked for decades. His journey leads him into a conflict far greater than mere survival: factions, scientists, and a mysterious organization behind the very existence of the anomalous territory are vying for control of the Zone and the legendary Wish Granter. Every decision Scythian makes influences the course of events and one of several possible endings.
Living Zone — A-Life 2.0
The unique A-Life 2.0 system simulates life in the Zone regardless of the player's presence: stalkers from different factions patrol the territory, hunt mutants, trade, clash with each other, and react to events even when you're miles away. Duty, Freedom, environmentalists, bandits, mercenaries, and the Monolith all wage their own struggle for influence—join alliances, complete faction missions, or act solely in your own interests.
Survival without compromise
Anomalies distort space in unpredictable ways, and artifacts born within them provide unique bonuses at the cost of constant health risks. Mutants—from bloodsuckers and controllers to chimeras and pseudo-giants—force you to be on your guard wherever you are on the map. Weapons wear out and require maintenance, ammunition and medical supplies are always in short supply, and a Geiger counter will become your most important companion as you navigate the contaminated territories. Dynamic weather and time of day directly impact visibility, anomaly behavior, and enemy activity.
