There's Nothing Down There is an atmospheric first-person horror game about a small research submarine sent to investigate a mysterious thermal anomaly on the ocean floor. A routine scientific expedition quickly spirals out of control when giant structures of a vanished civilization are discovered among the underwater caves. The deeper the expedition goes, the less it resembles the work of explorers, and the more you want to simply turn around.
The darkness hides much more than it seems.
Much of the journey takes place in narrow underwater tunnels and vast flooded cavities, where virtually nothing is visible without specialized equipment. Navigation requires relying on sonar, which helps find passages among rocks, ancient structures, and sunken sections of the complex. Each new room makes one wonder who built these colossal structures and why they were buried beneath the water.
As they dive deeper, the atmosphere of exploration gradually gives way to genuine horror. The ancient ruins prove far from lifeless, and the presence of something enormous becomes palpable long before the first encounter. Radio contact with a partner, strange discoveries, and a constant sense of danger accompany the expedition until the very end, where curiosity collides with the question of basic survival.
